WEIMI Protein Powder Vending Machine for a Gym in Israel

Gym retail can extend well beyond a bottle of water after a workout. Members may also want to buy the protein powder and sports supplements they use at home. For an operator, that creates a practical question: how can large, heavy tubs fit into a convenient self service retail format?

In Israel, a customer is using a WEIMI gravity sensing vending cabinet to sell protein powder at a gym. The installation brings full size supplement containers into the same setting where members train, combining visible product display with direct access to the shelves.

A Gym Retail Setup Built Around Supplement Tubs

The customer photograph shows large whey protein containers on the upper shelf, with smaller sports supplement tubs arranged below. The transparent front lets shoppers see the actual packaging before opening the cabinet, while internal lighting makes the assortment easier to browse.

This layout gives the gym a dedicated space for packaged nutrition products. Large containers remain upright and visible, and different pack sizes can be organised across the shelves. Members can compare the products on display and choose a container to take home during their gym visit.

Why Gravity Sensing Suits This Application

Large supplement tubs need equipment selected around their dimensions and weight. A dispensing system must accommodate the container and its route to the collection area. A gravity sensing cabinet takes a different approach: shoppers open the door and lift products directly from the shelf.

Weight sensing supports the identification of product removal. Because customers collect the tubs themselves, the shopping process does not require those containers to travel through a dispensing chute. That makes this format worth considering for bulky packaged products such as the protein tubs shown in this installation.

Shelf loading capacity, product spacing and sensing settings still need to be checked against the actual assortment. The package size and weight of each product should guide setup and testing.

A Clear Shopping Sequence at the Cabinet

The upper screen in the customer photograph displays four shopping steps: tap card, open door, take product and close door. The payment terminal sits beside the display, placing the payment interface and shopping instructions together.

For gym members, the sequence connects product selection with direct collection. They can view the assortment through the glass, follow the on screen instructions and remove their chosen items from the cabinet. Clear instructions are particularly useful when customers encounter this shopping format for the first time.

Planning the Assortment and Daily Operation

The installation illustrates how a gym can present several sizes of sports nutrition packaging within one cabinet. Operators planning a similar project should test each product in its assigned position and check that members can lift out larger tubs comfortably.

The linked WEIMI product page also describes remote inventory and sales checking through its management system. For a gym retail project, those functions can support replenishment planning alongside routine physical stock checks. The features enabled on each installation depend on its configuration.

Storage conditions should follow the supplement manufacturers' instructions. Any cooling settings need to suit the products being stocked, with attention to keeping packaging dry and intact.

Bringing Sports Nutrition Closer to Gym Members

This Israel customer case demonstrates a practical application of gravity sensing retail: selling full size protein powder containers where customers already exercise. The combination of visible shelving, direct product collection and an on screen shopping guide creates a useful starting point for gyms considering their own supplement retail setup.
